Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, everyone deserves privacy. About half of our clients are not law enforcement. They are teachers, realtors, attorneys, and many others who just don't want their personal information all over the internet. Sign up and take your privacy back.

I retired after 25 years with a large law enforcement agency in California and our team has helped thousands of officers in all 50 states take their privacy back. I've authored an eBook, wrote several published articles, and been interviewed for many podcasts regarding online and digital privacy where I explain why privacy is especially important for law enforcement officers and to become more private. All of the work we do is done by current or former US law enforcement officers. We don't outsource to foreign countries. Read more on the About Us page.

Yes. Only active or retired law-enforcement employees will see your information. Also, your data is compartmentalized from other employees within OfficerPrivacy.com. We take privacy seriously. Second, we keep minimal data about you. The data we do store is encrypted with a very strong password and two-factor authentication is used on everything. Also, when your data is being transmitted, it is encrypted. I will NEVER sell, rent, lease, whatever you call it, your information. Your information being your name, email, address, or anything you share with me. I take your privacy very seriously.

Most clients using our software can complete the opt-outs in about an hour. You will want to follow up a few days later to verify they did remove your information. Some people power through all the sites during one session. Others prefer to do 20 minutes at a time and spread it out over several days. You will have 14 days of access for free. The important thing is to get started. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be removed.

Right now there is a connection between your name and your address that can be found by anybody with access to the internet. There are people and organizations that want to harm law enforcement officers and their families. It's risky to expose your personal and private information to the world. Our software helps you quickly submit opt-outs to the top people-search sites. When you are deleted from these sites, this will break the connection between your name and your address so you can enjoy an extra layer of privacy. That's the goal. Removing yourself from these sites may also reduce your chances of being a victim of identity theft as your full name, address, birthday, and email addresses are all exposed.
